NCT Breastfeeding support is free to all!
The National Childbirth Trust actively promotes breastfeeding because of the many advantages it offers to both the mother and the baby. The NCT has over 500 trained breastfeeding counsellors to help mothers establish
and continue breastfeeding and to talk about issues arround
weaning and introducing formula milk. NCT understands that all new parents can need help at times, and supports all
parents regardless of the choices they make.
Telephoning the NCT National Breastfeeding Line will enable callers to be put in
touch with a trained counsellor. The helpline number is 0870 444 8708.

Interested in supporting breastfeeding?
There aren’t enough Breastfeeding Counsellors to meet the needs of all the parents who
might want to access the NCT
’s services. If you are interested in supporting breastfeeding, or in training with the NCT to become a Breastfeeding Counsellor, call Vicki

NCT also offer training to Peer Support groups and to Health Professionals. Training includes an in depth look at how breastfeeding works best and skills
for supporting mothers and their families effectively.
