The NCT is Europe's largest parenting charity, and aims to support new and expectant parents and to give every parent the
chance to make
informed choices. Most of our time is given voluntarily, we are not linked to the NHS and we are
not a business.
Lincoln NCT branch offers antenatal and postnatal courses, run in the teachers’ homes. Both mums and dads are welcome, whether you are expecting your first baby, or
your fourth!
Antenatal Courses are usually six weeks long, held mid week. We offer daytime and evening courses.
Postnatal Courses are usually 6 weeks, held on Saturday mornings.
Why is the NCT different?
Small groups enable courses to be designed to meet couples' needs and allow opportunities for discussion and getting to know other expectant or
new parents.
A strong emphasis is placed on the early weeks of parenting in addition to discussions around labour and birth. One-to-one antenatal or breastfeeding sessions, in which you can have exclusive
attention from our teacher for two hours, are sometimes available.
Pregnancy and birth can be a daunting prospect, but you can help it seem less so
by
exploring your options, talking about what might happen and how it might feel and by having the chance to share your thoughts with others in the same boat!
Class fees provide essential funding of local National Childbirth Trust services
and training specialist workers. However,
concessions and discounts are available, contact our booking secretary for more details.
Want to guarantee a place? There is often a waiting list for classes, so contacting us early will help.
